These balls are not designed for league competition play. This 8 ball set is perfect for practice, the beginner or as a starter set for those looking to take up the sport. This is our own product and so we typically ship the same day from our warehouse in Seattle. The set weighs 13lbs.NOTE: If you have played petanque with competition balls or are French and expect these to be as resilient as competition balls they are NOT. So playing on abrasive surfaces like gravel pathways will of course scratch the surface. Competition balls start at approx and can go up to more than 0 for a set of 3 ONLY and that does not include a case. These balls are great for someone to practice with or the occasional player that does not want the expense of a true competition set. At less than for 3 balls compared to they are a great deal.
